Race Service - AMG GT3 "Raw Spec"

Congratulations to James Kirkham and the team at Race Service that worked tirelessly on the AMG GT3 “Raw Spec” program. It was amazing seeing this already legendary car before and after the build and how you all were able to completely transform this AMG GT3. The goal of this project was to take a unique approach to materialism and display the actual materials that already make this vehicle so special and tie it back to automotive culture. They did so by being very selective with what colors were used for graphics to retain as much as that raw material concept as possible and by Adapting a design language to the car that is while visually stunning while giving a nod to Race Service’s partners. It’s something that really sets this vehicle apart from your typical GT3 race car.

From the cerakoted raw aluminum to the electrically charged paint job and Oakley Prizm windshield, nearly every piece of this car was completely reimagined. A few more standouts are the front grille that was painted white and crowned with a gold mercedes emblem and nearly all of the graphics you see on and in the car were hand painted. The way their team effortlessly blends good design with functionality and performance is something to behold. This GT3 is a beautiful example of when AMG Motorsports heritage gets mixed with art and automotive culture and they do it in a very special way. Such a look can be difficult to achieve and maybe even polarizing to some purists but Race Service shows us (yet again) that anything is possible with the right team and that’s what helped make this car a reality. It’s done so tastefully that no particular revision feels overpowering or unwarranted and it really helps deliver on the mission of this project.

To elevate the whole experience, Race Service has also been working on a line of apparel that is dedicated to the same raw materialism concept as the AMG GT3. Again, using specific colors and high quality materials to help emphasize the heritage that these pieces are designed to emulate. Each item is unique and is produced through their partnership with AMG Motorsports.
